Witty, funny, relatable...everything I love in a story, an inspiration to write my own.

Hilarious and so personally deep. Laugh out loud, clutch your heart, all the feels with this one.

An exceptional back story to an exceptional man. His memoirs of growing up a colored boy in both apartheid and post-apartheid South Africa provide insight on manhood, raising children, class, race, and life in general. A guy known mostly for his comedy gives us a glimpse into his powerful story that has lessons for all of us. I highly recommend it. Most powerfully, the story of his mother makes me especially thankful for the family I come from and the sacrifices my parents have made for my siblings and me.

I’ve seen Trevor Noah on the Daily Show for years but had no knowledge of anything about his life before reading this. The premise just sounded interesting. I was blown away by this book. It was absolutely phenomenal. The stories he tells with detail and humor are engrossing and mind boggling and entertaining and heartbreaking. I will read anything he writes from here on out.
