The age gap AND the familial dynamic creeped me out too much to even consider this a good storyline. Also, every other word being "indeed" eventually gave me the ick.

This taboo romance explores the intense and obsessive love between a girl/young woman and her godfather, who just happens to be 23 years older, her father’s best friend and business partner. While it starts off slow, don’t be fooled—this narrative builds up to some seriously spicy moments that make “Fifty Shades of Grey” feel like a warm-up! That being said, I’m a bit conflicted while reading this. The whole situation feels a bit wrong, even though the physical relationship begins when she is of age. It leaves you questioning morality and boundaries in relationships, which only adds to the depth of the story.

The circumstances of the main characters make it too creepy to enjoy. The situations are unrealistic and all over the place. This book is like The Sopranos, some Hallmark movie, Wolf of Wallstreet, 50 shades of Grey and To Catch a Predator all in one. The travel scenes were cute and the scenery was well written. But no.

Extremely odd storyline with a 40 year old being sexually attracted to a 16 year old. Also took until page 479 for it to actually get interesting regarding Alex’s past & we still know nothing about it by the end of the book. Very weird overall & unnecessarily long.

Read this collection for book club and we were glued. Looking forward to reading Happily Ever After Series.
