This is a double bi-awakening romance. Zander is a cute and innocent guy attending college whose sole purpose is to get into the NFL. Kerian has the same goal but is doing it in a much more intentional methodical way. It's hinted that Kerian has done dudes before, but nothing explicitly is talked about so I'm counting the book as a double by awakening. And anyway, Zander is completely different than any other person Kerian has ever dated before in his life, in fact, Kerian has never dated before ever.
Kerian has a bit of a morally gray, jealous, possessive street in him which is hard to come by in the MM genre. Zander definitely has a good effect on Kerian, and Kerian becomes a better person because of his relationship with Zander.
It's pretty spicy. I'm giving it πΆπΆπΆ/5 chilies on the spicy scale. it was pretty hot, but it would have been a lot better with more descriptive scenes and adding in some toys and maybe a little bit more adventurous with locations of the sex scenes/ chances of getting caught.
They get their HEA and a really great epilogue.
