This is such a wonderfully sweet and sexy friends-to-lovers romance! I loved the characters Freya and Mac. They grew together throughout the story because they needed each other to do so. They brought out the best in one another. I particularly swooned whenever Freya felt insecure about her body, and Mac was there to help her dispel those intrusive thoughts. This is not a straightforward friends-to-lovers romance by any means. There is some angst involved. I hated the moments when they weren’t together! However, I appreciated that Freya wasn’t a pushover. She had the strength not to forgive and forget as soon as those three magical words were spoken. Mac had to work for her forgiveness, and I loved that! If you love a friends-to-lovers, friends-with-benefits, sport-themed romance with a touch of angst and perfectly imperfect characters, then this is a must-read!

I didn't like the FL, she was so annoying. I know the point of the book is that she's not comfortable with her body and her sexuality.. but come on, girl! I liked the ML but I felt bad for him most of the time.

Such a good Friends-to-lovers story! The main character Freya is plus size and her dude is Mac, tatted and football (soccer) player. YASSSS!
I had so many laugh out loud moments, Amy Daws knows how to do comedy.

Okay..... I was worried at the beginning because it was a little cringe. After I switched to the audiobook I fell in love! The narrators have beautiful accents and made the story amazing!
