I enjoyed this book tremendously. It was thoughtful and hilarious.
Pippa is stuck with writer’s block and is under pressure to write or be forced to return he advance she had been paid unless she submits a book. She was forced to scrap her last partially written manuscript when a prominent author releases a book with the same theme and even the same title.
At first, she dismisses the idea suggested by her son, Max - to write a blank book with no words. After some thought she pitches the idea to her editor with such enthusiasm that he takes her seriously. It will be easy to read, people can say they read a book and cross it off their list. She argues it’s all hype anyway and people don’t care about the content. It would be a statement to make about publishing industry.
The characters and family dynamics really makes this book very entertaining. There’s the angst of a teenage daughter, a son who doesn’t want to prepare for his bar mitzvah, a neglectful husband who doesn’t satisfy his wife and even hates to be touched, and a medley of good friends. There’s a lot going on in this very amusing story. You’ll love it!

Entertaining and fun. Read in one day at the beach.
Love all things Zibby! This was a fantastic, quick read. The positive way the character finds her way out of such difficult heart wrenching life events. Definitely give this Zibby debut a try, you won’t regret it!
A fun read.
