Beauty and the Beach

I wanted to try to get 1 more read in before the month of February ended, and decided a romance fit the bill with love month coming to a close. I knew this was one of my dear friend @the_chronicallyillreader favorite reads of last year, so I knew I was in for a treat! But oh my goodness, I truly had no idea what a gem this would be! This book is just so much fun! The characters felt so authentic, nothing felt fake or as if they were trying too hard (which has become a trope with so many romance reads these days). Everything flowed so naturally. It was swoon worthy but clean, which is rare and a real treat. Our main characters Phoenix and Holland are a hoot together, and as their chemistry builds, you get this sense of what being truly known and truly loved really looks like. With the chemistry came unraveling history, raw emotions, vulnerability, trust, and healing. What more can you as for in a romance novel? It was perfect! AND can I just say that I legit bawled like a baby when Phoenix gave Holland her pet nickname towards the end of the book (85% in- I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t read this yet)- because it’s the pet nickname Kris has given me?! Umm, MELT.ME. 🥹❤️ I absolutely loved this book and definitely recommend it! Definitely has made my list of forever favorites! 😍❤️
