I enjoy this chef and her culinary cuisine. The memoir apparently reads like a love letter to kitchen dreams and life’s unexpected flavors. It balances storytelling with themes of intuition, self-determination, and the importance of doing what you love—delivered in Garten’s warm, witty, and relatable voice.

Loved this! I knew who she was but didn't know her full story. I listened to it and her telling her own story really helped me understand her better and appreciate her journey! I really need to get some of her cookbooks now!!

Ina seems like a delightful person. I think I would have enjoyed this even more by listening to the audiobook But her personality shines through, regardless. I do want to try some of her recipes. I used to work for someone like Ina. The type that runs through the open door, then figures out where to go next. I am the opposite. Researching and weighing options to the nth degree before making life-changing decisions. I guess that’s why Ina is saying to be ready, and that it was truly her guiding trait. Very happy for her success. And I must say, Jeffrey seems like a living doll. What an amazing partner to have on her side, even when she doubted themselves as a couple, or doubted her own pathway. He literally bent over backwards for her. What a sweetheart.
