This didn’t do it for me.

Definitely some winning thoughts in here. You can pick out some jarring quotes on ego suppression, mindfulness, yoga and the such. The authors definitely a guy that is in touch with aspects of his own experience that most people are not, psychological, spiritual, and physical. That’s cool to see and read.

But as a book, this felt a bit all over the place and most of the stories about mystical people - like probably just not true right? I sorta doubt there are people in India that have learned to meditate instead of sleep or like not eat for a month. The dude who fought and killed a tiger with his bear hands (book includes a picture) - I guess real, but why are we encouraging that behavior?!

Better versions of intro to Hinduism and much better versions of books on yoga, meditation, etc. ok to skip, despite the fact Steve Jobs and George Harrison were apparently all about this thing (btw why are we even concerned that a workplace bully and the third best Beatle likes this thing?)

Two stars!
