Aunt Erma's Cope Book: How to Get from Monday to Friday in 12 Days

"Her audience is everyone who has ever married, had children, gotten to middle age, owned a dog or a duck."
DALLAS TIMES HERALD
In this book Erma comes out--out of the kitchen--with these gems:
No longer will she be the only woman on the block to wear a slip under a see-through sweater, or feel guilty if the sun sets on an empty crockpot, nor will she care that she flunked her paper towel test. Our Erma is on her way to becoming a sub-total woman.

It doesn't matter how many decades roll past, the wit of Erma Bombeck is full of humor anyone can relate to.
I enjoyed the journey through the set of 4 books that spanned several decades. Each book hit on the trends of the times in funny ways that are relatable even if you never lived during that decade! As you read you start making connections as you recall something one of your parents did that rings a bell as you read. It's a strong woman that can use herself as the butt-of-the-joke, finds humor in the everyday or makes mundane seem fun!
One of the few books where reading the Author's notes is as enjoyable as reading the book!
We really all could use a little more humor in our lives.
