This was a *beautifully* adapted graphic novel.

I read the original text in 4th grade and became slightly obsessed with Anne. But as a kid, and esp. now as an adult, the writing felt so much more "grown-up" than I would have ever expected from a 12-14 year old. Of course, living the way they were at the time probably makes you mature rather quickly. So reading select texts (some pieces, some full) within this graphic novel made it all feel much more real...much more true.

I highly recommend it!

I've been to the Anne Frank house in Holland but never actually read the book. It seems terrible to not have read it. She was so insightful and witty for such a young girl. This graphic adaption was beautiful and hilarious and heart warming and heart wrenching. I cant wait to read the actual book. My mind cannot even comprehend how things like this can be done to people
