And What Can We Offer You Tonight blends steampunk and dystopian elements into a dark story about revenge, resilience and freedom.

Following a ceremony for one of their own that has died, Jewel finds herself hiding and caring for the reanimated, goulash figure of her friend Windfell. With the mystery of her death and resurrection unknown, Jewel tries to keep her life in order.

I appreciate the complexity of Jewel's character. Feeling and thinking about the same thing Windfell confessed to after learning about the details of her death. Jewel wanted that freedom but fear of death or worse the loss of the security that came with working as an escort for "the owners" held her back.Torn between conforming and loyalty, Jewel's plague with guilt over her actions.

At one point, Jewel poses the question of Windfell's bravery and determination being a result of the fact that she's already lost her life. So what more could harm her? I think that a good portion of Windfell's motivation did come from her death; the only thing that seemed to keep her around was revenge.

This didn't bother me much. In fact, I liked the fact that with her resurrection Windfell turned into an avenging angel for those on the streets and the others working at the brothel.
