I like the way the book moves to the time following Washington and speaks more to the relationships between Jefferson and Madison. Glad that I just read Chernow's Washington: A Life. The back story of Alexander Hamilton's push for a national bank created a much better appreciation. Would not recommend this book for neophytes to the era. It's a fine tuning study more than it's an exploration.
