A Whisper Of Solace: A Tainted Tinseltown Book

There's something about Neve's character that I connect with on a personal level. Her upbringing and emotional conflict made me think back on parts of myself. I've never had romance relationships like Neve but her childhood stuck out to me. I, too, found a place of comfort and peace in films, movies and production realm.

I think the writer does a great job with characterization and dialogue. Readers can distinguish between all the characters as the story progresses even though Neve's character has the most character development in the book.  

Even with her self proclaimed "ice queen" status and her very real powerful personal in the entertainment industry, I always liked Neve's character; bad decisions and all, I always understood where she was coming from. And it was often sad to see her struggle through her pain and the demons from her past. 

And honestly, I found that her and Audrey both needed their time apart for their relationship to grow. Because Audrey was unrealistic when it came to being with Neve in the beginning.

This push-pull, age gap romance between Neve and Audrey reminded me of the QAF tv series (US) and the Brian/Justin relationship dynamics that happened throughout the show.
