I cried, laugh, and was fully ingrained in the story. Like any other rom com storyline but this one was just extra special
Content warning for death of a family member, cancer, related topics. I really enjoyed pieces of this novel. Some of the scenes with the main characters are lovely, I really enjoyed their relationship. I like a good fake dating story, but I couldn't believe that the grandpas would actually set them up like that. Kamilah's family interactions are really hard to read, you can tell she's trying very hard (even if she's got stuff to work through). I had a hard time with the secondary characters (I thought they were all very similar) and with never knowing what happened between Kamilah and Liam in high school. But overall this was a fun read!
