I think I enjoyed book two even more than the first Kate Hamilton mystery. The lead character, Kate, is growing on me. And there were more likable characters and action to keep the red herrings going and the reader guessing. The daughter, Christine, was a basket case, however. Not sure she can be redeemed in future books, but one can only hope. Tom, the romantic interest, was appealing. Will be interested to see how they resolve the cross-ocean thing. And the animosity Tom’s mother has for Kate, as well as the resentment Christine has for Tom. To be continued, eh?
