My Thoughts: A Fire Endless was a wonderful conclusion to this story. The first book, A River Enchanted, needed this book to enhance the overall story. I loved the expanded folklore from the first book and the added complexity to the characters, including the character development of all the main characters. I love this duology! I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves folklore or mythology-inspired books.

Summary: The Isle of Cadence has always been a place of balance between humans and spirits, Breccans and Tamerlaines, East, and West. But Bane, the spirit of the North Wind, has upset this balance and seeks to dominate all. In the West, Adaira struggles to fit into the harsh Breccan way of life, while magic comes easily to her new clan. Meanwhile, in the East, Jack is on a dangerous mission and Torin and Sidra search for a cure to a spreading sickness in their clan. As the island falls further out of balance, the only way to stop Bane is through sacrifice, and Jack, Adaira, Torin, and Sidra must band together to face this challenge. In the conclusion to the Elements of Cadence duology, A Fire Endless explores the delicate balance between the human and faerie realms and the sacrifices required to restore it.
