Wow, wow! This was a 5 star thriller for me. In the summary of the book it states, 'With an ending you'll never see coming', and that is so true. Amanda is a busy Emergency room nurse, who is married to Paul, one of LA's most popular newscasters. They have a son, and they are both invested in keeping him happy, but their marriage is on the rocks. Paul screws around and Amanda has asked him for a divorce. On their way home from a fund raising event, he hits and kills a woman that walks out into the road. Amanda reluctantly helps him cover it up, and that's just the beginning of one bad decision after another, including another deadly plotline that was completely unnecessary. As the plot gets more intricate, and more and more people suspect what happened, it all comes to a head, and you learn what Amanda has been hiding this whole time, which is a mind blower indeed.
I haven't read any of this authors' books before, but will now be on the lookout. This was fast paced, addictive, a bit implausible and hard to put down, as you kept wondering who was going to take the fall for Paul's wreckless behavior. Highly recommended! This is the thriller read that will take you out of any reading slump.
