I didn't hate it, but I also didn't totally love it. The concept is unique, the intrigue and spy vs. spy turned love story was beautifully done, but some of it just...dragged. The writing on one side got very over the top flourishy and prose and my eyes glazed over quite a bit. It was somewhat predictable but also had some unique twists. So, I didn't hate it, but getting to the end felt like a homework assignment.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a letter based book. But Red and Blue, they made me wonder, smile, and cry. It's very poetic yet compelling, and while the time war serves mostly as the background for their love story, as a sci-fi aficionado I still got the chance to explore and enjoy possible futures. It's so wonderfully written, and feels intimate, almost like I was invading their privacy. A journey for the heart, not just the mind.

Short. Creative. Inventive. Could be hard to follow.
