This book had so much potential. It’s a great story with a great message to share but the writing let it down. The level of detail is torturous at times. I don’t need to know about the bit of dried snot in the puma’s left nostril. Or at which point she wipes her bum during a conversation on the toilet. It’s like she went to a creative writing class that encouraged more similes, more metaphors, more adjectives, more detail, more everything and well… I nearly gave up half way through but the book improves as it goes on so I’m glad I persevered.
