There were a lot of similarities between the value of women from the five and the lost girls. Somehow, society believed they had no value and so even the police didn’t bother to take their disappearances seriously. "It's a 'consolation' that the victims are prostitutes and not upstanding members of society" Lost Girls was a hard book to read.
