This is the kind of book that you either really love or really hate. I fell in the former category.

I found the writing easy to understand and follow. Both Nick and Amy had very distinct voices, and although I love and sympathize with Amy a lot (though I don't excuse her actions), that's not to say that I hate Nick, which is always brilliant of a writer, to be able to make me see both sides of a story in a way. Gone girl is a mind fuck every single time. I have seen the movie, read the book, and listened to the audio and I am not typically the type that repeats things. But, each time I dive in to this story I notice new details and somehow am surprised by the twist ending every single time. This book is a masterpiece
