This was one of those books where you Google the author early on *in hopes* that she’s written 100 other books.
(*No such luck, debut novel.)
A Kind of Freedom is a complicated book, written with tremendously believable characters. The story spans 3 generations, encircling 3 main characters and their varied experiences growing up Black in New Orleans.
